A brand to brand comparison isn't complete without a a piston to piston comparison and then you've got to consider street vs track in your buying decision. For the street a Stoptech 4 piston or Brembo 4 piston upfront is probably fine. If you've had the opportunity to drive a Z with an AP 6 front and AP 4 in the rear, you would definitely prefer it over a 4 piston front/x rear set-up. On the track, the AP6/4 combo (with the right pads) doesn't exhibit the fade associated with other setups. Without the fade you'll find you can consistently go deeper into the turns.
